The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and blowing snow, which is in effect from 1 PM Friday to 1 AM EST Sunday. Snow accumulation could reach 14 to 20 inches, with local accumulations over 2 feet in the higher terrain of Tucker County.
- Snow beginning, Friday afternoon.
- Period of most intense Snow, Friday night through Saturday morning.
- Snow ending, Saturday afternoon in the lower elevations, and late Saturday evening in the ridges.
- Winds: northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
- Impacts: rapidly accumulating snow may make some roads impassable. Strong wind may drift snow across roads and reduce visibility.
