Deep Creek Lake fireworks are something that everyone looks forward to year-after-year. Due to COVID-19, many summer events have been cancelled. Keeping everyone safe it of utmost importance.

That being said, this favorite local event is NOT cancelled. The July 4th Deep Creek Lake fireworks are happening as scheduled. Much to the delight of area residents and vacationers, the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce is proceeding with their plans.

When are the Deep Creek Lake Fireworks?

The Deep Creek Lake fireworks are scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2020. They will begin at approximately 9:30PM. In the event of inclement weather, they will be held on the 5th at the same time. You can tune in to local radio stations: 104.5 WKHJ, 92.3 WKTQ, 95.9 WKTZ, 1050 WMSG radio for live updates on the status of the fireworks.

Early spring Deep Creek events give you the opportunity to shake off your winter blues and break free of cabin fever. This list doesn’t include Easter events – watch for a separate blog post on those.

You can get great produce, honey, meats, eggs, jams and crafts from many of the local sellers you see at the summer market.

Yard Sale & Flea Market
Saturday, March 14, 8AM-3PM
Held at the Ag Hall at the Garrett County Fairgrounds, you can hunt for treasures and bargains from a variety of vendors.

Pond Skim at Wisp Resort
Saturday, March 14, 1PM
Check out skiers and snowboarders as they attempt to cross an icy stretch of water in their best costumes.

St. Paddy’s Day at Sipside Lounge
Saturday, March 14
The celebration kicks off at 1PM! Enjoy drink specials and snacks throughout the day. Live music from 6-9PM.

Christmas in the Village
December 6 & 7
The 33rd Annual Christmas in the Village is Friday from 4-8 pm and Saturday from noon-8 pm. Candle luminaries light the way around fire-warmed studios and historic museums during this free event. Meet the artists and purchase gifts. Hands-on activities for kids and choral programs in the village church.

Deep Creek November events center around the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. This is a quieter time of year at the lake. While it might not be jam packed with events, it is a month made for long walks and cozy nights by the fire.

Festival of Trees

Catch the holiday spirit at this favorite event that raises money for the Dove Center. The kids can have breakfast with Santa (make reservations). There are also lots of fun crafts along with a “crazy hair” station. For the grown ups, there are numerous artisans on-hand selling their work.
